Just because one way of eating worked for your friend doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. People’s bodies digest certain things differently and react in a number of different ways to certain food types. One person’s success on a fad diet doesn’t mean it will work for you too.
Results Don’t Last
When you stick to a specific way of eating for a short period of time and then go back to the way you ate before, you’re most likely going to see any results you had gained disappear. One of the issues with fad dieting is that it’s not a sustainable way of eating long-term, meaning you won’t see results for very long.
It’s Not Healthy
Fad diets can easily lead to a number of health problems ranging from dehydration to fatigue and beyond. When your body isn’t getting all of the nutrients it needs, it can create a host of issues due to not enough food or not enough of the right foods.
You’ll Be Spending More Money
Oftentimes, fad diets cost more money in the long run than a normal, healthy diet might. Whether it’s purchasing supplements or specific, expensive types of food you wouldn’t normally have on hand, fad diets can easily get to be way too expensive to uphold.
